| Launching the Report of “Role of the Constitutional Council Role in Building the State of Right” | | Within the Framework of “Promoting the Constitutional Council Role in Building the State of Right” project, ACRLI has launched the report on “Role of the Constitutional Council Role in Building the State of Right”. The report includes conclusions and recommendations on the importance of the role of the Constitutional Council in Lebanon, especially with regard to its authority to interpret the constitution and to expand the right to review the constitutionality of laws.
The launching ceremony was held on 18 January 2018 at the Beirut Bar Association in the presence of Dr. Issam Suleiman, President of the Constitutional Council, and in cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Wassim Harb- Founder and General Supervisor of the Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law and Integrity, and Dr. Anya Scholler Schlatter - Director of the Rule of Law Programme Middle East / North Africa at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
