In the context of the Project on "Provision of Legal Training Components for Legal Institutions of Iraq" implemented by ACRLI with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Iraq- UNDP Iraq; ACRLI organized a training session on "Strategic Planning" from 24 to 26 October 2010 in Erbil – Iraq.

The participants included representatives from the Higher Judicial Councils, the Ministries of Justice, and pilot courts from the various regions of Iraq, namely Baghdad, Basra and Erbil.

The ultimate objective of the session was to build the capacity of the selected trainees in the elaboration of strategic plans for their respective institutions. This was achieved through training the participants on how to develop coherent vision for reform and the road map for its implementation.

The training session which was delivered by an international expert from the French National Judicial School (ENM) was based on international standards and best practices.
